Rootbeer Soap

So to continue in my soda/cola line I am now introducing Rootbeer Soap!

Frothy sweet rootbeer aroma - right from the soda fountain tap!

This one goes great with the Cherry Cola and the 7-up type soaps.

Basil Nectarine round 2

As mentioned in my other post I wasn't pleased with how the Basil Nectarine came out so I did shavings of those bars and made a go at saving them with a clear overpour. At first I wasn't digging the round 2 of these but they might be growing on me. What do you think?!?!

So this weekend my computer decided to break guess the video card went out :( just can't catch a break it seems. But it has returned from the repair shop so we are all good now. I was even able to finally get online and place my order for more melt and pour soap from Bramble Berry! now it just needs to hurry up and get here :P

oppps cut the soap to soon

So look what happens when you start your batch of soap late at night and then try to rush it so you can sleep. More lessons learned! Guess this will be another batch I chunk up and try to make into something new. A few bars are decent(see bottom picture) but sad to say most of the batch was messed up. This is scented with a Bramble Berry blend of Energy, Red Apple, and Cranberry Sweet.

tooo many fragrance oils

I am back!! Just got my computer back and it is virus free now. Just have to get all my programs back on it now and then work on rebuilding all of my websites then I can get back to soap making.

Thought I would show a few things today first up is the batch of Basil Nectarine soap. This was the scent that won the poll, but I didn't feel my colors came out all that great see pictures. So I decided to chunk it and try again and my redo didn't come out any better. Guess I just need to start fresh and try that scent again.

Next up I thought I would show the reason why I have a hard time picking what scents to make next. I seem to have an addiction to fragrance oils! Now mind you some of these came in my bag from the bittercreek.com convention and to top it off it doesn't help me that there is a candle supply company 1 mile from me! Not all of these are skin safe but maybe you get the idea of why I go back and forth on what to work with next. I seem to have them stashed every where in my house :)

Got my new digital camera this weekend!! Now I just need to read the book some more then I will be taking all kinds of great pictures of my soaps so stay tuned.
