making batches the same

Made a new batch of Summer Medley soap this week. I work really hard to try and make each batch as close to the last one as I can. The one on the left is the new batch and the one on the right is the previous batch. Pretty close right?!?!

I think consistency is important but I also don't like having to take new pictures for every batch of soap if I don't have to :)

I think they're fairly similar, maybe the one on the left is a little more orange but nothing that should make you change your pictures. If you think its super different you can just put in your listing "This is a stock photo, each batch is a little different but you get the idea." or something like that :]

You soaps are lovely and how they look is only half of how yummy they are!

I so know what you mean. When I order stones I want consistency! I can't have everything different. I'd spend all my time taking pictures and never get anything else done!

Yep, total agreement. Of course, it's a whole lot easier to get consistency if you don't add color. I have some soaps with and some without. You have a difficult job!!

And here I was thinking the beauty of a swirl was in it's uniqueness .. No, I really do understand what you're saying, and you have done an excellent job of keeping them as close as can be - well done!

I know what you mean. The more intricate the design, the more difficult it is to duplicate it. I think as long as the scent is the same, the buyer should allow for slight variations-it's handmade after all!
