the day that changed my soap business

There is always some turning point in every business where things really start to take off right?

Well for me I can pin it down to one point in time and that was when my Forbidden Fruit soap won the Yummiest Soap bar contest on The Soap Bars blog. Crazy how time has flown by since that contest. Thanks Joanna for having that contest all those years ago :)

So what was the turning point in your business?

It was a pleasure running that contest and my husband was so funny about it!! (Bowling ball, only him!) Two years ago .... Time has flown by since then. I can hardly believe it was that long ago, Misty. I still am amazed by your soaps and candles.

You are a true artist!

it is funny that this was when I tried my first real swirl I knew I wanted to try and do something cool and pretty for the contest. So it really did start things off for me. I started getting steady orders after that.

The day I started selling soaps at the local farmer's market was the start of it all. It didn't explode my business that first day, but it has been my main source of customers ever since. :)
