Cherry Cola is a winner!

Cherry Cola has tested good! Testers reported back that it smells wonderful, so it turns out it was my candle maker nose after all.

Cherry Cola soap

so this is the batch I decided not to send in for the swap.

it came out really pretty and smells great. But when I used it in the shower it smelled different to me. I am unsure if it is my candle maker nose(can't smell things correctly) or not. I have given a few bars to some testers to make sure it smells good before I decide to put it up for sale.
So stay tuned for the testers results.

Vanilla Doom soap?!?!?

yes I have been making soap, but they are top secret ones for now

I am doing a swap with a number of other candle/soap makers and we are trying not to show exactly what we are making.

I have made 2 batches of soap, 1 of which will be for the swap. I am still deciding which to use then I will post pictures of the other batch. The one going for the swap will be posted in september.

Now I am trying to figure out what scent to make next. I have been wanting to make a Vanilla bar with sand from Point Dume(said like Doom) in Malibu for a long time. For those of you who don't know I love to go surfing(learned how last summer) well I can tell you after a few hours of getting tossed around in the ocean with the sand my skin feels wonderful. The sand from point dume is like no other around here it is so soft and nice compared to other beaches.

So I have been thinking a bar made with sand would be a nice addition. I once use a similar bar when I was younger and both my sister and I loved it. Heck maybe I will make up my own scent instead of vanilla, so many things to decide :)

So maybe I will finally make that bar?!?!?!?!?

Sandalwood Candles

finished up another pillar order

left to right, cherry coloa, 2 sandalwood, 2 freesia

ran out of some soaping oils but will have them back in stock next week then back to making soap. Next up will be Stonehenge: Archipelago Type Smoked Cedar Wood, Bergamot, and Amber blend perfectly to invoke the ancient mysteries of the Druids!

This scent tested really well with my pickiest male clients so I have decided to make a batch up. Ladies loved it for themselves as well! Going to play around with black and white colors I am thinking so stay tuned.

color?

so I totally sold out of Twigs & Berries and I really need to make some more

but I keep going back and forth on what colors to make it

This scent is a nice male or female scent. Right in the middle type one, well the colors I did before I think put off some of the male clients from picking it. See attached picture.

So I was thinking a good time to change it up some. But I can't decide what to do, one big problem is this scent moves super fast so I really don't have much time at all to play with it. It will pretty much be a main color for the batch and maybe a top layer, no time for swirls.

I was thinking maybe a dark blue/green combo or dark blue/lime green. Maybe even a white with a blue top layer? or some other color combo? I may just end up standing there and at the last second decide what color to toss in.
