soap makover

So my new goal is to work on switching a number of glycerin soaps over to cold process. Doing all these shows I see the cp soaps sell a ton better then the glycerin so I have decided to try some out in cp soap and see if they sell better. Some scents just don't work in cp soap so those will stay glycerin.

Well first up in the makeover was Blue Sugar type figured that was a good place to start since the male friendly soaps move really good. I had this one in glycerin but it would hardly get picked up, so will be interesting to see how it does at the show I have this coming weekend.

I love soap but I find that the cold process soap is more natural than the melt & pour glycerin soap. Also, CP soap w/ added shea or mango butter is wonderful to use as it's so creamy!

Your soaps look beautiful! :)

ha Patrice! I still make a ton of cp soap just don't post much cause they are all the same ones I already carry so nothing to exciting to post. Though I have a number of new ones to post soon just haven't taken pictures yet!

I decided to just use the mp soap for the fun stuff like the cupcakes or a few designs with mica that really look nice.

The colors in this soap are amazing. They remind me of a dark, swirling sky. Just beautiful! Soap making is such a fun process, glad to hear you're branching into more CP soaps!

It looks fantastic! Blue Sugar discolors, doesn't it? You've done a great job disguising it!

I'm pretty new to soap making so I started with mp soaps first. I am hoping I can branch out in the future. I keep reading about cp soap going really wrong so that's a bit scary for me lol.

It is trial and error with cp soap some scents will work good and other times a whole batch might not be great. CP soap rocks so you should try it Lori!

Amy I use vanilla stabilizer and I haven't seen any color shift yet and it has been a few weeks.
