Basil Nectarine soap

New scent! Basil Nectarine is juicy notes of ripe nectarines blended perfectly with leaves of the freshest basil. It's fruity, herbal and irresistibly inviting!

I have had this scent sitting around for a long time and it I knew I wanted to make soap with it but for some reason it took me awhile to get around to it. Loving the herbal notes in this soap. So the colors didn't come out like planned I had used a copper and emerald mica and it looked great in the mold. But when I pulled it from the mold the green was gone, it is still nice looking but it was even better before. Mental note emerald green mica doesn't work in cp soap!

Going to be making fresh batches of Basil Sage Mint and Lavender soaps tonight. I have been trying to make them all week but just haven't found the motivation to get in there yet.

This scent sounds very unusual, I wish I could smell it! I think the colours are really lovely even though the green didn't come through.

It's still gorgeous soap! I am imagining the scent to be similar to a Citrus Basil, which I love.

Do you usually use micas to color your cp soaps, and does the color usually turn out fine? Having really only done mp soaps, I haven't even thought about what works and what doesn't for cp.

Basil Nectarine sounds marvelous! I need to head over to your store and get me one. =)

well the Basil Nectarine one should be up next week or so it is still curing. I use mica's often in cp soap most work ok but every now and then you run into one that doesn't work right. Guess the same goes for the gel tones you use in cp soap.

Ok, I'll wait. =)

That's interesting about micas; you'd think that they'd work uniformly, but I guess not. I don't even know what gel tones are...newbie that I am.
