Summer Medley

Snapped a few pictures of the newest batch of Summer Medley soap. Bottom Picture is the top of the soap while in the mold. Crazy how every batch comes out similar yet totally different.
Review of my first rounds of testing the Soapylove line from Bramble Berry should be posted this weekend at some point so check back.
Summer Medley is a perfect blend of fruits that screams summer. Sweet oranges, ripe strawberries, sliced lemons, lime juice, grapefruits and red raspberries. A wonderfully unique, strong scent.

ha not that you mention it Teresa it does!

I am just messing around with the colored backgrounds I will be taking white background ones like normal in the next few days. That might help take the scooby doo look away :P

Hello, Burnt Mill!

I have been admiring your work from afar! I've been reading Anne-Marie's blog for about 1 year now.

You are moving to Colorado? I miss my Pacific Ocean so much, are you sure? :)

I grew up in Arcadia, then moved to Los Altos, near Stanford U, then back down to Mission Viejo, and now.....far far away in Texas.

Of all the things I miss about Sunny Southern California, besides my family, it would be Pacific Coast Highway, Mega Surfer Breakfasts, and sunsets that rise in Asia. Along with the best Mexican food anywhere!

Can you take one single minute to give me advice? I recently was asked to make some pillars (3 x 6, 3 x 4.5 and 3 x 3" for a post retail boutique. I use soy pillar/votive wax. Beautiful leaf motif pattern on the outside.

The shop is an all natural boutique. They want aromatherapy perfumes, etc.

So I made some unscented pillars. They turned out beautiful.

When you make your pillars, do you fragrance them? I was always under the opinion that pillars didn't "throw" like container candles. Or, at least I heard that the throw isn't as great as with the containers.

My questions is, before I put alot of money into putting expensive essential oils into these, would you think I should just present colored + unscented pillars?

If you have a second, that is, thanks alot for reading this and maybe answering.

Best of luck and thanks! I asked you because you do pillars and I do containers. :)

The medley of scents sounds like it would smell wonderful. I especially like the part of your description about summer since summer left Michigan in a hurry. The colors are pretty too.
