Blue Sugar

Sorry for the delay in getting a picture of the green apple soap up for you all to see. I can’t seem to get a picture of it that I am happy with. The soap is white with light green swirls and I just can’t get the swirls to show up in the picture just yet. I am going to have to break out the photo lights I think to get a decent picture.

This weekend was a busy one; I made a batch of oatmeal milk & honey soap. I had some time in between candle orders so I played around making some candles. I dug out my pyramid mold and made 2 pretty cool looking ones. The first one is scented Blue Sugar, this is a scent I am testing.

Blue Sugar is a blend of caramelized sugar and vanilla topped with heady notes of cedar and Tonka bean. The soul of the fragrance combines rich notes of licorice, patchouli, lavender, heliotrope, and coriander, freshened with crisp bergamot and mandarin, then finished with soothing notes of star anise and ginger.

The Blue sugar is one at first smell I didn’t like too much, but it is one that I ended up setting next to my computer and every time I turned around I was sniffing it. It has really grown on me I think it is cause it is one of the more complex scents so every time you smell it you get a different scent.

I also made candles in the following scents: spiced cranberry, patchouli, lemon bundt cake, cupcakes, apricot, pumpkin pie, and 1-mystery layers candle. See the above picture!

Still cranking out the website changes, should have the new shopping cart system including the air fresheners up soon!

Your candles are really really nice!! I have only done container candles and ince I love to burn them all the time, it fixes my "fix", but yours really is an art form!
